Teaching Myself Netbeans Database
As one of the projects I was set in Computing, we we tasked to create a library book system. With this project I decided that a database system would be the best and most efficient way of storing and logging all the different functions of a library system. With this in mind, I decided to teach myself the world of databases and SQL.
Netbeans has its own integrated database. After watching multiple YouTube videos and reading tutorials upon tutorials, I finally figured out the basics of how to set up the database within each of my programs, including getting the users input into the database, selecting data/records from the and displaying them.
Because I use a GUI, I am able to get all the records from a database into the GUI table. This then allows me to select and display certain records inline with what the user might want to see.
I have used a database in my Library System (here) and my Theatre Project (here). In both of these projects, I had created multiple tables that linked together.
